Our method

Everything begins with an assessment, the result of a series of meetings between the client and Gruppo YEC useful for drafting a complete document with all the information needed to start the project. It starts with a Functional Analysis through which the tools currently in use are closely observed, any existing databases are identified to extract useful data for the project, and the client's system hardware architecture is studied. Then we move on to the Preliminary Analysis of the New Project. In this phase, short and medium-long term objectives are identified, a new digitalization strategy is defined, and internal departments involved are identified and analyzed. Stakeholders are also identified and interviewed (stakeholder mapping and stakeholder interview). Once the preliminary analysis is complete, it's time for the Definition of the Executive Project. During this phase, all project processes are defined and mapped, which in turn are analyzed one by one through the identification of data flow. Finally, the entities and relationships necessary to model the operational flow are identified and analyzed, and everything is brought together in a reference GANTT for the realization of the new software.

Wire Frame

Once the Assessment is complete, we begin to give visual form to the project. In this phase, with the support of our creative and strategic team, we study the layouts and placement of elements necessary for software navigation. Together with the client, the layout is evaluated and any improvements or adjustments are made.

Mockup

Once the Wire Frame is defined, we begin to populate the software through the development of a Mockup, page by page, section by section. Texts, colors, photographs, illustrations and more are inserted in their respective areas to allow the client to have a preview of how their project might appear once completed. As in the Wire Frame phase, adjustments based on client requests are also expected during this phase, as long as they don't disrupt the Wire Frame.

Usability Test

Once the Mockup development is complete, we move to a fundamental phase called "Usability Testing", which is the study of user behavior during the execution of certain tasks during navigation. This approach is essential to provide the designer with the necessary inputs to address any difficulties that may make the user experience difficult.

Coding

Once the Mockup is defined and the Usability Testing phase is passed, the ball passes to the developers who, through coding, transform a simple simulation into actual software, website or app. The product thus gets closer and closer to the final version.

Testing

In parallel, during certain steps of Coding it is essential to carry out Testing, in order to determine the correctness and reliability of the software under development. Specifically, it consists of testing the project independently or in combination with service software, and evaluating whether the responses meet the requirements or not.

Debugging

Once any errors are defined, we move on to Debugging, which is the correction of any issues. This activity, during the project, is among the most important but also among the most challenging depending on the complexity of the project. The risk is introducing new errors while trying to correct others. For this reason, our team is formed exclusively by extremely experienced and prepared personnel.

Production

Once all the phases described so far are completed, the project can be definitively considered complete and proceed to the official launch. Should updates be needed over time, the Gruppo YEC team is present and prepared to intervene at best.
